| Hello, My
name is Captain James Williams and I would like to
welcome you to Redneck Flies, a family owned and
operated service. I have been fishing the waters of
Florida all my life. I grew up in Fort Pierce FL where
my grandfather and father taught me how to fish with my
grandfather taking me to lake Okeechobee to catch
bass and my father taking me to the bridges and
piers to catch snook. We would also load up our 16 ft
Jon boat and catch reds, speckled trout, flounder and
black drums. My now father-in-law who use to fish
Pro/Am in the B.A.S.S taught me the ways of finesse fishing
when nothing wanted to bite. I have since then relocated
to Broward county for the past 5 years where I have
fished the waters from Biscayne bay, key west, to
Flamingo and Chokoloskee. I also fish the Flats Masters
circuit in Punta Gorda with one my close and best friend Capt.
Carlos Rodriguez. I am U.S.C.G. licensed
and commercially insured guide, Florida state paramedic
and have also been working in the EMS/fire
service for 12 years. With me, you can expect a safe and
consciences guide with nothing but your fishing needs in
mind while on the water. I consider each client a guest
and, whether new or old, always a friend on my boat with the
expectation of having fun and catching fish. Even though
my specialty is fly fishing, my guest can also
enjoy spin, cast, plug and jig fishing as well. If you
have never fished the flats or back country or just want
to do it again, give me a call and lets catch some fish
and have some fun.
I believe the 2 biggest parts
of guiding is teaching and learning. If you have never
picked up a rod or want to hone your skills on light
tackle and learn more about the areas, species and
culture I will be more that happy to teach you. The fun
part for me, besides watching you have fun and enjoy
your trip, is learning about you.
I am also an experienced
custom rod builder. If you are wanting that
special rod just for you whether it's for fly fishing,
spin, plug, pier/bridge, casting or trolling let me
know.
I would like to thank my wife who is our tech
support and office manager. If it wasn't for her I would
not be living my dream of taking people fishing and
having fun watching them having a trip they never will
forget. I would also like to thank our family who is our
major support and I especially want to thank you, our
clients and friends, for joining and helping us grow. |
